PDI Topical Workshop on MBE-Grown Graphene 2013
Graphene is a very promising material for future nanoelectronics. However, before the envisioned use of graphene in different applications becomes a reality, the synthesis of one to few atomic layers of this material has to be achieved in high quality on technologically relevant substrates. In this context, molecular beam epitaxy appears as a particularly attractive method since it may allow a well-controlled layer-by-layer growth of graphene on different type of substrates. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together the people working in this very specific field in a framework that encourages in-depth discussions.
