Paul Drude
Paul Drude (1863-1906) was a highly respected physicist.
He performed pioneering work on the optics of absorbing media and
connected the optical with the electrical and thermal properties
of solids. His well-known textbook on optics (Lehrbuch der Optik)
appeared for the first time in English in 1902 (Longmans, Green).
