Core research areas
The departments of the institute represent the area of competence of the PDI staff and the
corresponding allocation of research equipment.
To use the resources of the PDI in terms of manpower, equipment, and budget most efficiently, the research is carried out in interdisciplinary core research areas (CReA), in which for a certain period scientists, engineers, and technicians from the three research groups collaborate.
