in-situ-Xray Workshop

The Paul-Drude-Institute in Berlin will host the dedicated two-day workshop on

in situ and in vivo real-time x-ray scattering

on February 22 and 23, 2010.

In situ and in vivo real-time x-ray scattering applying high-brilliance synchrotron radiation also in combination with other in situ characterization methods will be at the focus of this workshop. We shall specifically focus on the scientific opportunities and technological challenges in studying the growth and modification of materials with simultaneous x-ray diffraction.

Our intention is to bring together the people working in this very specific field in a framework that encourages in-depth discussions.

Participation is on invitation only.

The total number of participants will not exceed 30.
Each group will be allocated a slot of approximately 30 minutes for the presentation of their results including discussion. Since the scope of the workshop is very narrow, we should be able to start talks directly with results and skip long introductions.

The workshop is organized by

Wolfgang Braun, Michael Hanke and Frank Schreiber
