PDI Topical Workshops
Typically once a year PDI organizes a Topical Workshop for one of the research directions that we pursue. Our intention is to bring together the people working in a very specific field in a framework that encourages discussions, and learn from each other. To this end, the scope is very narrow, participation is by invitation only, and the total number of participants should not exceed 40.
Each group is allocated a slot of typically 30 minutes for the presentation of their results. The idea is to start talks directly with results and skip long introductions. More than one participant per group and particularly young researchers are very welcome. It is up to each group whether one person will give a single long presentation or several persons will give short talks. If there is sufficient interest, we also organize an additional small poster session.
PDI provides the room and refreshments for the coffee breaks, all other costs have to be covered by all participants.
