/ Announcements
We are delighted to announce that PDI PhD student Miriam Oliva successfully defended her PhD thesis on December 11, 2024, at Technische Universität Berlin, earning the distinction of magna cum laude.
Her dissertation, titled "Photoluminescence Intensity and Internal Quantum Efficiency of Ordered Arrays of Arsenide and Nitride Nanowire Heterostructures," explored the optical properties of nanowire-based systems with relevance to next-generation optoelectronic devices.
The thesis defense was chaired by Prof. Dr. Andreas Knorr (TU Berlin). Committee members included Prof. Dr. Ulrike Woggon (TU Berlin), Prof. Dr. Holger T. Grahn (TU Berlin / PDI), and Dr. Bruno Gayral (Quantum Photonics, Electronics and Engineering Laboratory, PHELIQS, CNRS, France), who participated virtually.
We are proud of Miriam’s outstanding achievement and wish her continued success in the next chapter of her career.
