Celebrating the Diversity of Science
In a world of increasing complexity we need everyone on board.
On 6th November, 2022, seven science-institutes celebrated 30 years of collaboration within Forschungsverbund Berlin. The wildly diverse research fields of IGB, IKZ, PDI, WIAS, IZW, MBI, and FMP have an impact on virtually every aspect of society. Their extraordinary research endeavors show us how important it is to have diversity in research topics and approaches, management structures and leadership culture. ‘Celebrating the Diversity of Science’ shines a spotlight on the breadth of diversity in cultures, backgrounds, and life choices at our institutes.
The event featured science clips, The Science Show, an interactive exhibition, and a panel discussion on diversity in science. The evening was brought to a close by New York-born actress and Americana Noir singer, Saudia Young.
