Congratulations Adriano Notarangelo

We're delighted to announce that Master’s student Adriano Notarangelo completed his degree in Solid State Physics and Quantum Technologies at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca on March 31, 2025, graduating with top honors (110/110 cum laude).

Adriano conducted his thesis research at PDI from July 2024 to March 2025, working under the supervision of PDI scientist Philipp John and long-time PDI collaborator Stefano Carlo Cecchi. His thesis, titled “Molecular Beam Epitaxy of (Al,Sc)N/AlN Axial Nanowires: Towards Hexagonal (Al,Sc)N in the Sc-rich Regime,” explored advanced nitride growth using molecular beam epitaxy.

We warmly congratulate Adriano on this excellent result and wish him every success in the next chapter of his scientific career.
