PDI’s Van Dong Pham selected for APL Rising Stars Collection

/ Announcements

Van Dong Pham speaking at Future Materials 2025: The 6th International Conference on Materials Science & Nanotechnology in Tenerife, October 2025.

We’re delighted to share that Van Dong Pham has been selected for the 2025 Rising Stars Collection of Applied Physics Letters (APL). His paper, Scanning tunneling microscopy of ultrathin indium intercalated between graphene and SiC using confinement heteroepitaxy, for which he served as the principal investigator, was chosen as one of just 30 papers highlighted in this year’s collection.

The Rising Stars Collection showcases the work of early-career researchers who are making a significant impact in their fields. According to APL, the selection committee reviewed a large number of strong submissions, and Van Dong’s paper stood out for inclusion, representing less than 1% of the journal’s annual output.

The 2025 collection will be featured on the AIP Publishing website, along with social media and newsletter highlights. AIP Publishing will also celebrate the selected authors at the MRS Fall Meeting 2025 in Boston.

Huge congratulations to Van Dong and his co-authors on this well-deserved recognition!
