Welker-Award for Prof. Dr. Henning Riechert

Prof. Dr. Henning Riechert was director of the Paul Drude Institute from November 2007 until December 2019. The Welker Award - supported by OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH - was presented in recognition of his contributions to the development of MBE growth and III-V Laser/LED technologies and providing leadership to the compound semiconductor research. The announcement was made on March 18 during Compound Semiconductor Week 2020.
The Welker Award has been presented by the International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors since 1976 for outstanding achievements in the field of III-V compound semiconductors.
