Magneto-PL / PLE / Raman Lab

For various types of measurements utilizing Raman, photoluminescence (PL) and - in particular - PL excitation (PLE) spectroscopy, a custom built setup is available.

Its versatile configurability enables single-, double- as well as triple-spectrometer measurements. The system is equipped with a CCD camera and a photomultiplier tube for both multi- and single-channel detection, respectively. For optical excitation, several lasers with single line output as well as a tunable Ti:sapphire laser system can be utilized in the wavelength range from 350 and 1000 nm. Measurements can be performed either in a micro cryostat (temperatures between 10 and 300 K) or a 5 T superconducting-coil electromagnet cryostat (5 to 50 K) in Faraday geometry. Both cryostats allow measurements with microscopic resolution.
