Nitrides in a New Light - Spring 2027
Workshop hosted by PDI in Berlin
The workshop Nitrides in a New Light aims at bringing together international scientists working on diverse aspects of unconventional compounds and devices at the next frontier of nitride semiconductor research. The workshop also serves as a dedicated platform for students and early-career researchers to present their work, engage with leading experts, and forge lasting collaborative networks.
The event is held in close collaboration with the DFG Priority Programme SPP2477 Nitrides4Future — Novel Materials and Device Concepts.
Scope
The workshop covers a comprehensive spectrum of frontier nitride research, including:
- Growth of unconventional nitride compounds
- Novel nitride-based nanostructures and nanofabrication
- New paradigms of materials analytics
- Theoretical modelling and computation
- Novel functionalities and pushing physical phenomena beyond their limits
- Applications in RF, nano, and quantum technologies
- Perspectives in energy, catalysis, and sensing research
